Program Accreditation by External Agencies
All the programs in the School of Health Sciences have been accredited by different accreditation agencies. The Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNS) program was jointly approved and accredited by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) and Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC), while the Diploma and Certificate programs were licensed and accredited by Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC), Uganda Nurses and Midwives Examination Board (UNMEB), Technical and vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Health Education and Training Institutions (HET). The programs have also been approved and accredited by Adventist Accreditation Agency (AAA) based in Maryland, USA.

The Health Principles course unit explores essential foundations for wellness, focusing on nutrition, physical activity, mental resilience, and preventive care. It emphasizes balanced lifestyles, evidence-based practices, and holistic approaches to health. You will gain practical strategies to improve daily habits, enhance vitality, and foster long-term wellbeing through sustainable, mindful choices.

BPBI 2208 ANATOMY & PHSIOLOGY PRACTICE I
SCHOOL OF HEALTH AND ALLIED SCIENCES

This course unit provides practical experience in anatomy and physiology, focusing on hands-on exploration of the human body’s structure and function. You will engage in laboratory activities such as specimen observation, physiological measurements, and basic dissections to reinforce theoretical knowledge. The course emphasizes skill development in scientific techniques, accurate data recording, and application of anatomical and physiological principles to health and biological sciences.
