This course is designed to help students understand the characteristics and methods
of studying the limnology of natural and polluted aquatic ecosystems. The laboratory
includes methods of biological, chemical and physical assessment such as field surveys
of algal, macrophyte and benthic invertebrate diversity, toxicity assays, and analyses of
stream flow.
