CIMMS BEVS 382: CONTEMPORARY ISSUES IN MICROBIAL & MOLECULAR SCIENCE

The course explores emerging issues in microbiology and molecular science, their effects on environmental resources, biomedicine, and human health, threats, causes, and measures to mitigate the impacts on living systems. Topics to be covered include; food borne pathogens, their transmission, outbreaks, and approaches to prevention. Microbial translocation, water borne diseases, and their transmission and control, microbiological monitoring principles, and indicators, sanitary microbiology.
