IEP BEVS: 171: INTRODUCTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL PHYSICS (BSPY 341)

This course gives an introductory approach to application of physics concepts in understanding the functioning of environmental systems in order to develop appropriate mechanisms for solving complex environmental challenges. Topics to be covered include: energy exploitation, climatic changes, pollution, interaction of electromagnetic fields, and nuclear radiations and radioactivity properties of matter. Environmental policy and world conventions on environmental issues will be included.
