The course is designed to provide the basic understanding of the worlds’ fruit and vegetable industries. Emphasis is placed on production regions, biology, soils, nutrition, types of fruits and vegetables, site selection, fruit quality factors, propagation, pruning, pollination, flowering and fruit set, horticultural production practices and career opportunities.
