The course is designed to investigate the contributions microorganisms in gene regulation
and genetic structure; integrate knowledge from biochemistry, molecular biology, and
genetics with microbiology. It will also enable students to gain critical perspectives
on molecular genetics; introduce students to current problems in gene control and
expression, and provide students with sufficient background to evaluate critically the
current literature in microbial and molecular genetics.
