QMDM PGDP 5102: QUANTITATIVE METHODS IN DECISION MAKING

The course offers an overview of business mathematics and statistics which are essential tools of management. The emphasis in the course will be on the importance of quantitative methods to managers and decision makers, measures of central tendency, measures of dispersion (variation), measures of relationships, regression, index numbers, probability, break-even analysis, differential calculus, optimization of functions and linear programming. At the end of this course, students will be able to use quantitative methods in decision making with logical thinking/reasoning.
