PPMA PGDP 5206: PROJECT PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT

At successful completion of the course, students will be able to apply knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to plan activities in order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations. The focus under this course will be; overview and attributes of a project, project life cycle, problem analysis, developing needs assessment, stakeholder analysis, introduction to the Logical Framework Approach (LFA), participatory approaches to project management, project appraisal, project risk management, Work breakdown structure (WBS), networks analysis, project monitoring and evaluation, procurement process for public sector projects, project procurement management, challenges of managing and evaluating development projects in local governments, project termination.
